Stranger, Stalker

I was on the train home

Journaling away

Writing out all my cares of the day

When a voice from behind

Taunting and teasing

Why he chose me

I don’t know the reason

Are you an angry girl

He said with a sneer

Oh look at the angry girl

Sitting right here.

For miles and miles

He continued to jeer

I ignored him

Won’t he just disappear.

With a bulldog grip

He kept on chewing

Devouring his prey

Sitting down right next to me.

So close we were leg to leg.

I said a prayer

And stared him down

Without a blink

Without a frown

God’s strength within

Filled my soul

I’ll run the race He’s in control

Who in the world are you

To get inside my space

Is this another test

As darkness bares it’s ugly face.

Stranger, stalker

Evil is lurking behind your voice

Wicked fool

sinful intentions they are your choice

This Mary is stronger than you

And though no one stands up

To cover my innocence

Or write the sins of my stranger in the sand

Except for Him

My Savior.

I want you to leave me alone

Go to another part of the bus

I want you to leave me alone.

Get out of my space

I wasn’t doing anything

He said with a sneer

I wasn’t doing anything

I was sitting right here

For miles and miles you’ve continued to jeer

I want you to get out of here.

You are a crazy bitch

Look out for this crazy bitch

He shouts out loud

Still no one looks up

Like a tv with the mute button on

He shouted and shouted

Still everyone ignored him

He gets out at the next stop

Thank you, God.

What if he’s waiting for me when I get out?

Who in the world are you

To get inside my space

Is this another test

As darkness bares it’s ugly face.

Stranger, stalker

Evil is lurking behind your eyes

Wicked fool

sinful intentions will be your demise

This Mary is stronger than you

And though no one stands up

To cover my innocence

Or write the sins of my stranger in the sand

Except for Him

My Savior.

Victory is mine tonight

The Lord is on His throne,

I let the child speak,

Let her voice be heard

She’s no longer weak

No more alone.

I get off the train

Head toward my car

Keys in attack position

Walking the high wire with courage

I just might make it.

I get in the car

Close the door

I’m not alone anymore

My savior, my Lord

Is with me forevermore

Now I know

It is you

That is in my space

Turning me into who you want me to be

Grace bares it’s lovely face

Blessed Savior

Love is beaming behind your eyes

My redeemer

Answered prayer, you heard my cries

This Mary’s devoted to you

No one needs to stand up

To cover my innocence

Or write my sins in the sand

I have confessed to him

My Savior.

My Savior.

My Savior.

My Savior.
